Day 01 | Arrival in Cochin & Scenic Drive to Wayanad
Arrive at Cochin International Airport (COK) or Ernakulam Railway Station, meet your chauffeur, and embark on a picturesque journey northward toward the misty highlands of Wayanad (250 km / 6.5–7.5 hrs). Drive along the coastal highway through Kozhikode before ascending the iconic Thamarassery Churam—a dramatic 9-hairpin mountain pass offering panoramic vistas over the Malabar plains. Reach Wayanad by late afternoon, check in to your hillside resort or plantation stay, and unwind amidst cool mountain air and lush greenery. Overnight stay in Wayanad.
Day 02 | Wayanad Natural & Heritage Sightseeing
After an early breakfast, set out to uncover the historic and scenic treasures of Wayanad. Begin with an invigorating uphill walk to the prehistoric Edakkal Caves, marveling at ancient petroglyphs and stone carvings dating back to the Neolithic era. Head onward to the three-tiered Soochipara (Sentinel Rock) Waterfalls, taking a refreshing nature walk through tea plantations to reach the pool below. In the afternoon, enjoy a peaceful pedal-boat ride on the lotus-fringed Pookode Lake, followed by a stop at Lakkidi Viewpoint to catch mist rolling over the deep valleys. Day 03 | Wayanad to Cochin | Cultural Fort Kochi & Marine Drive
Check out after breakfast and drive back toward Cochin (250 km / 6.5 hrs) via Calicut. Arrive in Kochi by late afternoon and check in to your hotel. Head out to explore the colonial charm of Fort Kochistroll along the seaside to watch fishermen operate the giant centuries-old cantilevered Chinese Fishing Nets and visit St. Francis Church and the Dutch Palace (Mattancherry). Conclude your evening with a breezy waterfront stroll or an optional sunset boat cruise along Marine Drive taking in the modern city skyline across the backwaters. Overnight stay in Cochin.
Day 04 | Cochin to Munnar via Athirappilly & Cascading Falls
Depart post breakfast on a scenic mountain drive to the rolling tea hills of Munnar (~130 km direct, 175 km via Athirappilly). En route, witness the roaring grandeur of Athirappilly Waterfalls (often called the "Niagara of India"), followed by stops at the roadside cascades of Cheeyappara Falls and Valara Falls. As you climb into the High Ranges, endless carpets of emerald tea gardens greet you. Check in to your Munnar resort, spend the evening browsing local spices, handmade chocolates, and tea at Munnar town market, and rest for the night.
Day 05 | Munnar Local Sightseeing | Wildlife & High Altitudes
Begin your morning early with a visit to Eravikulam (Rajamalai) National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr; enjoy a safari bus ride through pristine shola-grassland ecosystems. Later, visit the Tata Tea Museum to witness traditional CTC tea processing and sample freshly brewed orthodox teas. In the afternoon, explore the serene Mattupetty Dam, test your voice at the natural acoustic wonder of Echo Point, and take photos amidst the tranquil lake setting of Kundala Dam. After breakfast, check out and drive downhill through rubber and tea plantations to Alleppey (Alappuzha) (140 km / 4 hrs). Enjoy a relaxed morning by the beach or visit the ancient 2,000-year-old Janardhanaswamy Temple. Check out mid-morning and drive down to the world-famous beach haven of Kovalam (55 km / 1.5 hrs). After breakfast, drive south to Kanyakumari (85 km / 2.5 hrs), the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent where the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal, and Indian Ocean meet. En route, stop by the grand wooden architecture of Padmanabhapuram Palace. Upon reaching Kanyakumari, board a ferry across the waters to visit the sacred Vivekananda Rock Memorial and the colossal 133-foot Thiruvalluvar Statue. In the evening, witness the breathtaking sunset at Sunset Point / Triveni Sangam before returning to Kovalam for your overnight stay.
Day 11 | Kovalam to Trivandrum | City Sights & Onward Departure
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the sea and complete check-out. Drive to neighboring Trivandrum (Thiruvananthapuram, 15 km).
