Overview

This 10-day classic Kerala journey brings together the state’s finest hill stations, wildlife corridors, backwater waterways, and coastal cliffs in one seamless route from Cochin to Trivandrum.

Beginning with the colonial port heritage and harbor sights of Fort Kochi, the route climbs into the Western Ghats past cascading waterfalls to the sprawling tea estates and cool peaks of Munnar. From there, venture through the aromatic spice slopes of Thekkady for wildlife safaris in Periyar Tiger Reserve and traditional cultural performances. Descend to the tranquil lowlands to experience an authentic houseboat stay along Alleppey's backwaters, followed by the bird-rich lagoons and resort village charm of Kumarakom on Vembanad Lake. Day 01 | Cochin Arrival & Local Sightseeing

Arrive at Cochin Airport or Railway Station and meet your chauffeur. Transfer to your hotel for check-in and freshen up before exploring the coastal heritage of Fort Kochi. Day 02 | Cochin to Munnar | Ascent into the Tea Valleys

Begin your morning with an excursion to Eravikulam National Park, home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and sweeping views of South India’s highest peak, Anamudi. Continue to the KDHP Tea Museum to discover the legacy of colonial tea manufacturing and sample freshly processed brews. In the afternoon, visit the calm waters of Mattupetty Dam, try out the playful acoustic echo at Echo Point, and take a peaceful stroll along the eucalyptus-lined Kundala Lake. Day 04 | Munnar to Thekkady | Journey across Cardamom Hills

After breakfast, check out and take a winding 3.5-hour journey south through the aromatic corridors of the Cardamom Hills to Thekkady (Kumily). Check into your resort and spend the afternoon on an educational guided walk through an aromatic spice garden, discovering how black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves are cultivated. Spend the evening browsing local spice markets or enjoying a relaxed dinner. Overnight stay in Thekkady.

Day 05 | Thekkady Local Sightseeing & Cultural Show

Rise early for a tranquil morning boat safari across Periyar Lake inside the Periyar Tiger Reserve, watching for herds of wild elephants, sambar deer, and rare birds along the dense water's edge. Later, explore Kumily town for homemade chocolates and pure spices, or opt for an Ayurvedic rejuvenation massage. Day 09 | Varkala to Kovalam | Lighthouse & Golden Beaches

Enjoy a leisurely morning catching the coastal breeze and breakfast along Varkala’s cliff path. Check out and take an easy 1.5-hour drive further south to the world-renowned beach town of Kovalam. Check into your hotel and spend your afternoon exploring Kovalam's iconic crescent shores—relax on the sands of Hawah Beach and Lighthouse Beach, and climb the spiral stairs of the striped Vizhinjam Lighthouse for sweeping 360-degree ocean views at sunset. Day 10 | Kovalam to Trivandrum | City Sights & Departure

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast overlooking the ocean and complete your check-out formalities. Depending on your departure timings, take a brief sightseeing detour into Trivandrum to admire the grand Dravidian architecture of the sacred Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple or the historic Napier Museum.
